Abstract

 In the history of philosophy, language is closely related to the essence of things. Based on phenomenology and philosophical hermeneutics, this study analyzes Gadamer's theory from two perspectives: language philosophy and truth view. The purpose of the study is to analyze Gadamer's truth path centered on language, providing a new perspective for current linguistic philosophy to break away from scientific methodology. The research mainly adopts literature analysis and theoretical reflection methods, using Gadamer's works "Truth and Method" and "On the Road to Language" as material objects. The study analyzes Gadamer's philosophy of language and the theory of fusion from four perspectives: the prior experience of language, language as a medium of understanding, language as world experience, and language's speculative nature. At the same time, research has explored the dilemma of truth acquisition caused by language masking, as well as Gadamer's masking method. The nature of current philosophy is gradually losing in the development of science and technology. Philosophy should not be limited to science; while language should also not be limited to text. Research has found that Gadamer's path to truth is a process in which things themselves are constantly manifested through the hermeneutic cycle, and through the continuous debunking of the hermeneutic cycle, truth is ultimately achieved. This study takes Gadamer's philosophy of language and truth as the research object, exploring the value of hermeneutic cycle. In the summary of Gadamer's transcendence of language and truth, it reveals the cultural significance of his philosophy of language.
