Michael Jackson\u2019s son Blanket has reinvented himself and even changed his name.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jackson, known as the \u2018King of Pop,\u2019 is considered one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He made his public debut as a member of The Jackson 5 (later known as the Jacksons) and became a solo star in 1979 with his album \u2018Off the Wall.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jackson became known for hits such as \u2018Thriller,\u2019 \u2018Billie Jean,\u2019 and \u2018Beat It.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n

Throughout his life, the \u2018Smooth Criminal\u2019 singer became a figure of controversy and speculation and in 2009, the world was shaken when it was announced Jackson had died aged 50.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The \u2018You Don\u2019t Care About Us\u2019 artist left behind three children: Prince, Paris, and Blanket. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jackson\u2019s children became more visible in the public eye following the singer\u2019s death, with Paris making a short, unplanned speech at his funeral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEver since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. And I just wanted to say that I love him so much,\u201d Paris declared, aged 11 years old at the time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, despite pursuing different passions and projects, the siblings remain close \u2013 with Prince revealing they make time for each other whenever they can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAny moment I get to spend with my siblings now, especially as we\u2019re getting older and our own lives are starting to blossom and grow, every moment that I get with them, any little family dinner, any family out, is really a special moment,\u201d he said, via\u00a0People magazine.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When thinking of Jackson\u2019s children, many people will remember the shocking moment in 2002 when the \u2018You Are Not Alone\u2019 singer appeared on the balcony of the Adlon Hotel in Berlin with his nine-month-old son Blanket. <\/p>\n\n\n

To the horror of fans in the crowd below, Jackson precariously dangled his toddler over the edge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Later, the \u2018Rock With You\u2019 artist apologized for the incident, saying he \u2018got caught up in the moment,\u2019 vowing he \u2018would never intentionally endanger the lives of my children.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fast forward to today and Blanket is all grown up, and it\u2019s fair to say he\u2019s changed a lot since that wild moment on the balcony\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blanket, who largely keeps a low profile, is trying to make a positive impact.<\/p>\n\n\n

He surprised everyone with a rare public appearance on Good Morning Britain<\/em><\/a>, explaining that he\u2019s very aware of the climate change emergency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Discussing his father\u2019s legacy, Blanket said: \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of really cool stuff here [Jackson\u2019s home], there\u2019s a lot of history here in this house and the studio here, that\u2019s what he was all about. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s what each of us [Blanket and his siblings] want to do, make some things that people hopefully enjoy but also benefit their lives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI do think it\u2019s important that we all know about [climate change], I think we have some work to do, but our generation knows how important it is.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s also becoming recognized for his filmmaking talents, winning Best Drama at the Santa Monica Film Festival award for his short film\u00a0Rochelles<\/em>\u00a0earlier this year, reports\u00a0Showbiz411<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

And speaking of making a change, Blanket has even changed his name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fans and supporters have showered him with love and positivity following his reinvention. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

One person on social media writes: \u201cIt\u2019s not easy coping with the death of a parent. Glad to see he\u2019s doing better. Only wish good things for the offspring of MJ.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another adds: \u201cGood for him. Love the name and wish him luck.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 22-year-old, born Prince Michael Jackson II, was nicknamed Blanket by his dad, as the singer would often try to obscure him from the public by covering him with a blanket. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He changed his nickname to Bigi in 2015 after\u00a0reportedly\u00a0being teased by other children over the name.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
