Shauna Rae is a 25-year-old reality\u00a0TV<\/a>\u00a0star who weighs approximately 50 pounds and stands 3ft 10 inches tall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the beginning of 2022, she shot to fame after starring in her own show,\u00a0I Am Shauna Rae<\/em>. It follows the story of her childhood illness and how its unexpected side effect was that she stopped growing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the show\u2019s second season, aired on TLC, she shared her experiences of looking for love and independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to dating, Rae has acknowledged that many \u2018creeps\u2019 want to date her.<\/p>\n\n\n

Rae\u2019s plight has gained lots of attention online, with one fan writing: \u201cIt\u2019s so sad because she deserves to be loved and experience relationships.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Another adds: \u201cShe\u2019s just a person like anyone else, I\u2019m sure she just wants to be looked at that way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 25-year-old was born with brain cancer and went through chemotherapy as a child. This impacted her pituitary gland, resulting in pituitary dwarfism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to what she\u2019s gone through, Rae is often compared to an eight-year-old rather than a woman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In one episode of her show, she says: \u201cPeople don\u2019t understand that I\u2019m an adult.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

In an interview with the\u00a0New York Post<\/a>, Rae said: \u201cIf you look at me, you see an eight-year-old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut I think if you take the time to look at the details in my face, in my hands, the maturity in my body \u2013 and I think if you take the time to actually talk to me \u2013 you really understand that I\u2019m [an adult].\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, when it comes to brief encounters, people don\u2019t take the time to do this and Rae will be treated like a child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a TikTok<\/a> video, she shared that she\u2019ll be given kids\u2019 menus, cups, and crayons at restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She said (per People magazine<\/a>): \u201cI think it\u2019s just the environment I\u2019m around and the way I carry myself that sometimes affects it, but I also think if they see you in a family environment, they see a short-statured person, they just immediately think \u2018child\u2019 but it happens all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rae\u2019s past cancer treatment has also affected areas of her life.<\/p>\n\n\n

Although she doesn\u2019t presently want children, the 25-year-old has embarked on a fertility journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a video<\/a> on her YouTube channel, the TV personality revealed that she has a \u2018very low egg count,\u2019 although she had plans to freeze her eggs during season two of I Am Shauna Rae<\/em>, she couldn\u2019t proceed due to the high costs involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Rae said: \u201cI wanted to go through with getting my eggs frozen to save a chance if I want to have children. I want the same opportunities as anyone else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut I learned that at that time\u2026 my insurance would not cover anything, and the medicine alone would be $9000 or something dollars, and it was a total that came to close to $15,000 to $20,000 and I did not have the funds at that point to go through with the procedure on my own.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She continued: \u201cI\u2019ve been lately having a lot of thoughts about if I do want a family and if I do want a baby that looks like me, or if I want to go through adoption or whatever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou know, at the end of the day, I genuinely don\u2019t care\u2026 a child, someone to raise, someone to grow with, in a sense, is all in the same for me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

Now, Rae has launched a GoFundMe to help with her medical journey. Besides funding her eggs to be frozen, the TLC star is raising cash for dental implants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The fundraiser page reads: \u201cIn order to have a chance at the same opportunity as others, I am asking those who are willing to, for help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t have longer than six or so months until I potentially become infertile and as far as a timeline for my teeth, I\u2019m holding onto them until I can\u2019t. Anything at all can help towards a healthy future for myself.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

Amid her fertility journey, Rae revealed to fans that she is now in a relationship<\/a> and it\u2019s been something she\u2019s kept \u2018a secret\u2019 for a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an Instagram<\/a> post, which hides her partner\u2019s face, she said: \u201cAll you really need to know is they make me happy and I don\u2019t know if I\u2019d be as far in my goals without them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\u201cPlease know that all I ask from y\u2019all is to support me and refrain from being hateful toward them or my relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When chatting with the New York Post, the 25-year-old shared that she\u2019s met men who \u2018may not have the best intentions.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

She explained: \u201cI\u2019ve just developed the ability to spot someone who may not have the best intentions because they give themselves away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTheir questions are very targeted towards my physicality\u2026 They\u2019re learning about me like I\u2019m a specimen in a lab.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
