Netflix\u00a0viewers have been left \u2018sickened\u2019 by a controversial series that includes graphic scenes.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fans of the streaming giant are threatening to cancel their subscriptions over the TV<\/a> drama that\u2019s airing now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based on the life of an\u00a0adult star, it\u2019s sparked a heated debate with viewers due to certain scenes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A clip of the divisive show was shared, then quickly deleted, on Netflix\u2019s official Instagram<\/a> account \u2013 while online it garnered a lot <\/em>of negative feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n

One person wrote: \u201cNow we have p*** on Netflix as well? Canceling the account while we speak, my kids can\u2019t see this.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another agreed: \u201cIsn\u2019t this inappropriate for a platform where KIDS FOLLOW YOU?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\u201cAre we just making p*** mainstream now? It\u2019s pretty sickening that there is no warning on explicit content like this,\u201d a third viewer questioned. \u201cYet women who post a picture breastfeeding are flagged. This should be a separate category on Netflix if you want to put stuff like this out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not sure I like the direction Netflix is going,\u201d a further concerned fan opined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Somebody else penned: \u201cIt\u2019s really sad that this is accepted in modern culture. The hyper-s**ualisation of our society and generation is depressing and degrading to the value of both genders.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

The platform describes the show, inspired by true events, as \u2018the story of how Rocco Siffredi escaped a humble life and emerged as the world\u2019s greatest p*** star.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

In its official synopsis for the show, IMDb adds: \u201cSiffredi\u2019s family, his origins, his relationship, and the context that led him to embark on his path in p****graphy and accept that the demon in his body is compatible with love.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seven-part series, called Supers**<\/em>, stars Alessandro Borghi as Siffredi, who starred in over 1,500 X-rated films.<\/p>\n\n\n

Francesca Manieri, the filmmaker behind the series, tells The Independent<\/a>: \u201cMy goal was to put men in front of themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is what we call the phallocentric system, the system in which the d*** is the centrum of the thought before everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\u201cSo what can you do right now, 2024, to understand the relationship between men and women? And how can men put themselves in front of the image of their symbolic d*** and try to deconstruct all of this?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the controversy, the film has generated some positive reviews from critics.<\/p>\n\n\n

Rohan Naahar writes for the Indian Times<\/a>: \u201cBorghi is endlessly watchable, even when the show threatens to fly off the rails. He gives Siffredi, who could\u2019ve very easily come across as a detestable man, a sense of vulnerability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt also helps that the character \u2013 at least the version of him created for the show \u2013 is always the first to point out his flaws. Self-awareness goes a long way in earning the audience\u2019s sympathies because there is no bigger turn-off than watching a loose cannon fire away, without having any sense of the damage they\u2019re causing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aramide Tinubu echoes in Variety<\/a>: \u201cSupers**<\/em> isn\u2019t just an examination of one man\u2019s life and career but a look at the lives people create, however unconventional when they dare to move through the world as their most authentic selves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
