A Pink fan has spoken out after being told to pay $180 for a ticket to bring their newborn baby along to a concert.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Concert tickets are notoriously expensive \u2013 but, if you get to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience of seeing your favorite artist live, they can be worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there are sometimes added and unforeseen costs that make concert-going even less <\/em>affordable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Such was the experience of one Sydney-based fan of the singer Pink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They were asked to fork out a whopping $180 to bring along their newborn baby to a concert \u2013 and it has left the internet feeling scandalized.<\/p>\n\n\n

People have been left outraged by the news, and have taken to social media to share their displeasure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One pens: \u201cWhat\u2019s next? They will start charging pregnant woman for their unborn infants?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A second adds: \u201cBlatant money grab. Gross.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

However, some others have pointed out that a concert may not be the ideal location for a newborn baby\u2019s delicate ears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A commenter writes: \u201cI\u2019d charge more for the newborn so that it includes proper ear protection. Crazy to think it\u2019s a good idea to take an infant to a crowded concert\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While another fan points out that this policy isn\u2019t unique to Pink, explaining: \u201cThat\u2019s a general rule for a lot of Aussie venues now. It\u2019s not just Pink. I worked on Robbie Williams tickets and we were advised the same. All ages had to have their own ticket or no entry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

The \u2018So What\u2019 singer has a legion of loyal fans, and seeing her live is an important rite of passage for Pink lovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

However, tickets don\u2019t come cheap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pink was traveling across the globe on her Summer Carnival tour this year, which started in Australia and then moved across the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But one controversial concert saw the \u2018Just Like A Pill\u2019 singer entertaining crowds at the Accor Stadium in Sydney\u2019s Olympic Park.<\/p>\n\n\n

However, one couple ran into some unexpected trouble after asking if they could bring along their newborn baby to the show\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The couple had purchased their tickets back in early 2023, but since then, they\u2019d welcomed a new addition to the family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Not wanting to deal with finding childcare, the pair decided they\u2019d just bring along their newborn to enjoy the pop bangers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The family decided to reach out to the stadium to double-check their baggage allowance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCan you tell me whether we will be allowed to bring a nappy bag?\u201d the man wrote, per 7News<\/a>. \u201cAlso, just confirming she won\u2019t need a ticket?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the response was not <\/em>what the Pink fan was expecting.<\/p>\n\n\n

The stadium hit back: \u201cThere is no issue bringing a nappy bag, but all attendees must have a ticket to enter, regardless of age.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man responded, claiming the stadium was sold out already, and that the newborn couldn\u2019t possibly sit in their assigned seat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

But the stadium doubled down, adding: \u201cThe age policy set for this show by the promoter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As he commented on Accor\u2019s response to 7News, the man says: \u201cWe found it disgraceful that a baby had to purchase a ticket when they were going to be in a baby carrier or on my sister\u2019s chest.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, as soon as this story picked up steam, Accor changed its tune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They actually waived the charges of the baby\u2019s ticket fee and even offered the fans parking closer to the stadium entrance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
