Casey, who used a pseudonym for both herself and her fianc\u00e9 Alex, was with her bridesmaids, enjoying a dr!nk, when a series of screenshots of messages were sent to her phone from an unknown number.<\/p>\n\n\n

Beside the stolen images, the anonymous individual penned: \u201cI wouldn\u2019t tie the knot with him. Would you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The messages were highly damning for Alex, indicating that he had been involved in an affair with another woman in the months leading up to his marriage to Casey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\u201cOne r@cy message read, \u2018This weekend. You and I. It is on, h0t stuff. Bring your A game,’\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAnother message read, \u2018Your b0dy is incredible. And you sure know how to use it. I wish my girlfriend had half the skills you do,’\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A third text elaborated: \u201cI miss you deeply. I can\u2019t shake the thoughts of longing, desire, and the f@ntasy of being !ntimate with you. I\u2019ve never experienced this level of connection before.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In an essay for Body+Soul, Casey expressed, \u201cI couldn\u2019t hold back the tears of shame and heartbreak. My friends were ready to take drastic measures against him. They demanded I contact him right away and cancel the wedding.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She continued, \u201cBut despite everything, I still loved Alex. I was looking forward to marrying him tomorrow. In my shock and sadness, anger didn\u2019t surface. I couldn\u2019t bring myself to make the call.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEventually, we attempted to retire to bed. Sleep evaded me entirely, and as dawn finally broke, I roused my friends and disclosed my resolution \u2013 I would proceed with the wedding as planned, but I intended to expose him in front of our loved ones.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Instead of reciting her vows, Casey chose to publicly reveal her soon-to-be husband by reading aloud the text messages to all attendees at their wedding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe person I thought Alex was doesn\u2019t seem to exist,\u201d expressed the heartbroken bride. \u201cI cherish each and every one of you, and as painful as this moment is, I\u2019m grateful for your presence here.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
